Atly Apps now Runs on Atlassian

Atlassian has introduced Runs on Atlassian, a Marketplace program that helps customers identify apps that run on Atlassian infrastructure and meet additional privacy and data residency requirements.

Eligible Atly Apps now display the Runs on Atlassian badge on their Atlassian Marketplace listings.

What the badge means

Runs on Atlassian is available for eligible Forge apps. Atlassian applies the badge automatically when an app meets the program requirements, including:

1. using Atlassian-hosted compute and storage
2. supporting data residency aligned with the host Atlassian product
3. allowing customers to control external data egress through admin controls

This makes the badge a useful shortcut for teams reviewing Marketplace apps, especially when data privacy, residency and vendor approval requirements are part of the buying process.

Why this matters

Atly Apps has always aimed to keep our apps simple to install, easy to approve and careful with customer data. For apps built on Forge, that means leaning on Atlassian's platform for hosting, authentication, storage and permissions instead of introducing extra infrastructure wherever it is not needed.

Runs on Atlassian gives customers a visible Marketplace signal for that architecture. When an Atly app is eligible, customers can see that the app is designed to operate within Atlassian's cloud environment and under the controls provided by the Atlassian platform.
